Istanbul Photo Award 2025

Proud to be awarded again at the Istanbul Photo Awards, this time for the work done on assignment for La Repubblica in Haiti. The project received 3rd place in the Daily Life category. Together with Fabio Tonacci, we traveled to the Caribbean nation, where gangs have plunged the country into chaos and now control the vast majority of the capital, Port-au-Prince.

Haiti is facing one of its darkest periods, with violence, kidnappings, and lawlessness forcing thousands to flee their homes. Entire neighborhoods have become battlegrounds, while the population struggles to survive amid extreme poverty and the collapse of basic services.
